top five posts
I think it is funny that the top five posts read on this blog for this week are also the top five posts for this month (not in the same order though). They are as follows (in no particular order):
1. National Sunday Law = Another Book to throw away
2. Saint Malachy - Prophecy of the popes
3. Judgement Day - May 21st 2011
4. Earthquake Prophecy for Trinidad - Sigh!
5. Enoch and the Arch Angels

Breaking the traffic light
Coming from church this morning I crossed a green traffic light only to see a guy racing across the red light in a white pickup. I stopped and he crossed. He realized as he was as he was on the lights that they were red and slowed down, but the speed he was coming at he could not stop safely, so he crossed the intersection on the red light.
Now what was this guy thinking. Was he on a call (even if he wasn't holding a cell phone in his hand he could be distracted by the call)? Was he listening to a song? Was he remembering a happy time? Was he in deep thought over an issue that troubled him? Was he is deep prayer?
Whatever his circumstance, he might have killed somebody today. Hopefully, the incident shook him sufficiently that he would pay better attention on the road.

Thank you St Joseph for favours granted
NINE-DAYS NOVENA TO ST. JOSEPH
(Note: This prayer was found in the 50th year of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In 1505, it was sent by the Pope to Emperor Charles when he was going into battle. It is said that whoever shall read this prayer or take it with them, shall never die a sudden death or be drowned, nor shall poison take effect on them; neither shall they fall into the hands of the enemy, or shall be burned in any fire or shall be overpowered in battle.)
Say this prayer for nine days for anything you may desire. Then let go and let God. Trust that whatever is the outcome of your novena is truly what is best for you in accordance with the will of God.)
O Saint Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires.
O Saint Joseph, assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.
O Saint Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me, and ask Him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. Amen
O Saint Joseph, hear my prayers and obtain my petitions. O Saint Joseph, pray for me. (Mention your intention)

God is good... all the time
Psalm 87:3 says: Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God.
God does great things for us. Even if others do not consider the circumstance as great. We recognize His work and love. So when we read His word, we also find the glorious promises that He makes.
God is good... all the time.
all the time.., God is good!

well rounded students by 2015?
I read an article in the Port of Spain Catholic News that stated that there will be well rounded students by 2015. I got a little confused by a statement in the article.
Love the jargon. Love also the fact that the document presented had many diagrams, charts and point lists. It is a very detailed document.
Now I think all teachers in Catholic schools know that if you know a teacher in a certain school you could get your child into that school. Otherwise, you have to bring the Catholic Baptism certificate and hope to get your child into the school. In fact parents baptise their children in the catholic church just to get their kids into the school, while they go to OTHER churches.
The Catholic Education Board should set up something whereby the parent signs an agreement to have the BAPTISED catholic child, enter ALL Catholic functions and teachings for the full period that he child is a student, and or have the child removed in there is a change in the child's religions. And if the parent fails to keep up their side of it. Refuse their other children, or cousins.
It may be harsh but young minds need to be molded into leading citizens in later life, even if they do not keep the faith, they will have the morals.
So I say good luck to the Catholic Board.
The plan, according to the introduction “is the culmination of extensive analysis and assessment of environment and strategic options for Primary level Catholic Education.”
